SAFARI OVERVIEW:

Nairobi. Amboseli, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater, Serengeti, Masai Mara, Nairobi

 

Day 01: Nairobi

Arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport Nairobi where you will be met by our Safari representative and transferred to your Nairobi hotel. Day 02: Nairobi – Amboseli

Breakfast at your hotel and depart for the Amboseli National park arriving in time for lunch. Amboseli, meaning salty dust is scenic with the majestic snow capped Mt Kilimanjaro towering backdrop. Elephant herds here are plentiful, with other game including lion and plains herds. Enjoy your first game drive this afternoon in the Park.

Day 03: Amboseli

Dawn being the most appropriate time for game viewing in this park, you will have an early game drive coinciding with the sun rise over the Kilimanjaro. You will later return to your lodge for late breakfast. The rest of the day will be spent at leisure within the confines of the lodge.

You will have another game drive in the afternoon.

Day 04: Amboseli – Lake Manyara

You will depart Amboseli Park after breakfast crossing the border at Namanga into Tanzania. Lunch stop over at Arusha and later proceed to Lake Manyara national park, Famous for its tree climbing lions.

Day 05: Lake Manyara – Ngorongoro Crater

Early morning game drive at Lake Manyara before heading out to the Ngorongoro conservation area arriving at your lodge in time for lunch.After lunch, you will have an escorted trek along the Ngorongoro crater rim.

Day 06: Ngorongoro Crater – Serengeti

Early morning descend into the crater floor with packed lunch for wildlife viewing. The Black mane lions rule this unique crater area. There is also the Crater Lake which is home to thousands of migrant flamingos. Elephant, Buffalo and Rhino are also found here in greater concentrations than anywhere else in Africa. Ascend the crater and proceed to the Olduvai Gorge, where the “Nut Cracker Man” 1.75 million years old was discovered by Louis and Mary Leakey. The Olduvai museum has an excellent display of ancient artifacts. Continue to Serengeti National park with en route game viewing arriving in the evening for check in and dinner.

Day 07 & 08: Serengeti National Park

Spend two full days game viewing in the Serengeti National park where it’s not unusual to find twenty to thirty lions living in the same pride. The annual wildebeest migration is the greatest wildlife spectacle where more than two million wildebeest and Zebras roam in search of water and better grazing pastures between Serengeti and Masai Mara.

Day 09: Serengeti – Masai Mara

Breakfast at the lodge and depart with picnic lunches to the Kenya Tanzania border at Isebania. Clear with immigration, change vehicles and guides; proceed to Masai Mara game reserve where you arrive in the evening with en route game viewing to the lodge.

Day 10 & 11: Masai Mara

Spend two full days in the Masai Mara an option for early morning and evening game drives or full day game drives. Masai Mara game reserve has an extra ordinary density of animals including the Big five and a variety of plains game. The Mara River cuts through the Mara Serengeti ecosystem giving life to the two game reserves finally pouring out into Lake Victoria.Impressive and most notable is the wildebeest, zebra and gazelle instinct led migration from the Serengeti in Tanzania to the Masai Mara in Kenya.

Day 12: Masai Mara – Nairobi

After breakfast and check out, you will be transferred to the airstrip for a flight to Wilson Airport, where on arrival you will have a chance to tour a few places of interest, shopping and farewell lunch and later transfer to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward/home-bound evening flight.
