Aberdare National Park Lake Nakuru National Park and Masai Mara National Reserve

SAFARI OVERVIEW: Nairobi – Aberdares – Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara

 

 

Day 1 – Nairobi / Aberdare National Park

Meet and greet at the Airport or Hotel by our representative for Safari briefing and depart with your driver guide in a safari converted vehicle to Aberdare National Park. The drive goes via the lush central Kenya highlands and scenic landscapes. Lunch at the Aberdare Country Club. At 1400 hrs, transfer in a special join- in shuttle to your tree lodge located deep inside Aberdare National Park. This evening and night, game viewing will be from the comfort of a special raised bunker where you can watch animals visit the flood – lit water hole and salt lick.

Day 2- Aberdare /Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, drive to your base hotel where you meet your guide and drive in a south westerly direction across the equator, then down the floor of the Great Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru. Check in followed by lunch. Afternoon game drive from 1600 hrs. with an opportunity to see Lake Nakuru, the alkaline lake that hosts a variety of water and terrestrial bird species and plenty of wild game such as Buffalos, White Rhinos, Water Bucks, Lions, Leopards and Rothschild Giraffes among others.

Day 3 – Lake Nakuru / Masai Mara National Reserve

Breakfast will be served from 0630 hrs. Check out by 0730 hrs and drive to Masai Mara. Check in followed by lunch at your lodge. Enjoy an afternoon game drive from 1600 hrs, the beginning of the amazing Masai Mara game viewing experience.

Day 4- Masai Mara

Early morning and late afternoon game drives in search of what nature has to offer. Likely to be spotted in Masai Mara are; Lions, Buffalos, Elephants, Rhinos, Leopards, Impalas, Gazelles, Wildebeests, Hyenas, Topis, Zebras, Giraffes among others and hundreds of bird species.  The Masai Mara is part of the Mara – Serengeti ecosystem where the annual Wildebeests Migration takes place between July and October when millions of Wildebeests and Zebras closely trailed by the Big Cats cross the Mara River and roam the plains in search of greener pastures.

Day 5 Masai Mara/Nairobi

Breakfast will be served from 0630hrs. Check out by 0730hrs. and drive back to Nairobi. Optionallunch at a restaurant followed by transfer to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward evening flight.
