Itinerary - Daily Safari Information

Day 1: Arrive Nairobi – Transfer to Hotel

Jomo Kenyatta International Airport Nairobi where you will be met by our Safari representative and transferred to your Nairobi hotel. Check in and pre-safari briefing.
Meal Plan: Bed and Breakfast Accommodation: Fairview Hotel Nairobi

Breakfast followed by a morning pick-up from Fairview Hotel, ideally around 9:30 a.m., for a comfortable drive to Nairobi National Park, where you will arrive at the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage in time for the public visiting hour (11:00 a.m.-12:00 noon). Here, you will watch the rescued baby elephants being fed and playing, while learning about conservation efforts and elephant rehabilitation.

At 12 noon, drive approximately 30 minutes to the Giraffe Centre in the nearby suburb of Lang’ata, arriving by around 12:30 pm. Before diving into the giraffe experience, you might want to enjoy lunch at one of the charming nearby spots at own arrangement. At the Giraffe Centre, spend time feeding endangered Rothschild giraffes from an elevated platform, learning about conservation efforts, and enjoying great photo opportunities as giraffes gently nibble food pellets from your hand. Following this enjoyable visit, you will depart in the late afternoon for a scenic drive back through Nairobi, to the hotel for your overnight stay.

Spend two full days enjoying scheduled day and night game viewing activities or relaxing at your luxury tented camp.
Covering 57,000 acres of land, Loisaba is a private conservancy enjoying spectacular views of Mount Kenya, and excellent wildlife viewing including the less seen and rare Northern species: wild dog, Grevy’s Zebra, Greater Kudu and Oryx.

The conservancy is owned by Loisaba Community Trust, a Kenyan Trust incorporated under the perpetual Succession of Trustees Act, and committed to wildlife and ecological conservation. The mission of Loisaba is to protect and enhance critical wildlife diversity, abundance and habitat in the Loisaba landscape, which sits on the western edge of one of Kenya’s most important elephant migration corridors, while concurrently supporting sustainable livestock production and improving the lives of the neighbouring communities.

Optional activities that you can engage during your stay include: horse riding, camel trekking, guided bush walks, mountain biking, visit to anti-poaching sniffer dogs.

Breakfast at your camp. Check out and enjoy an enroute game viewing as you are transferred to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to the world famous Masai Mara National Reserve. Upon arrival at Keekorok Airstrip, you will be met by your safari guide and enjoy a 45-minute scenic game drive transfer to Elewana Sand River Masai Mara, beautifully located along the Sand River near the Tanzania border.

Arrive in time for check in, lunch and relaxation before embarking on an afternoon game drive.

Spend two full days in the Masai Mara with morning and evening game drives. The Masai Mara Game Reserve has an extraordinary density of animals including the Big Five and a variety of plains game.

The Mara River cuts through the Mara-Serengeti ecosystem, giving life to the two game reserves and finally pouring out into Lake Victoria.

The Mara, one of the most famous wildlife reserves in Africa and a northern extension of Tanzania’s Serengeti is home to the Big Five as well as other predators, scavengers, plains game and prolific birdlife.

Covering an area of about 1,510 Sq. km, the reserve boasts of a high wildlife to area ratio, meaning that you don’t have to drive for long distances in search for wildlife, especially the Big Cats that this reserve is renowned for.

OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES: You may also book an optional early morning hot air balloon flight over the vast Masai Mara plains.

Breakfast and check out by 9:00am. You will be transferred to the Airstrip for your 11:00am flight to Diani via Wilson Airport in Nairobi. At 3:30pm, you arrive at Ukunda/ Diani Airport which is located south of Mombasa. You will be met by our driver for a transfer to your booked beach hotel.

Meal Plan: Full Board Accommodation: Chale Island Resort

You will have two full days to relax and explore the Silver Sands of the Indian Ocean beaches. This is one of the best family and friends get together destinations where you can spend intimate moments with your loved ones as you sun bathe under the African sun and walk along the sun kissed White Sandy beaches. You may rest and relax at your beach resort, enjoy walks to get some sand between your toes or take a dip into the pool

Breakfast at leisure and check out. You will be transferred to Diani Airport for your flight to Nairobi. On arrival at Wilson Airport our driver shall meet you for a transfer to JKIA for your home bound flight. If time allows you can stop for dinner in one of the fine restaurants on the way to the Airport.
